The ActX genetic test simultaneously analyzes more than 500,000 different genomic locations in the human genome using a microarray genotyping platform in a CLIA certified laboratory. ActX is committed to using only the highest-quality data. We use stringent quality control to ensure that only high-quality genomic data is reported in your Genomic Profile. The Patient Data Reliability is an alphabetic score that ActX uses to report data quality.
A score of A+ means that your sample was successfully analyzed using the ActX genetic test and was confirmed using a second, different test. ActX performs additional testing on certain genetic variants to ensure that our results are accurate. If you have a score of A+ for a specific genetic variant, this means that ActX performed an additional test, called Sanger sequencing, to confirm the presence of that specific genetic variant.
A score of A means that your sample was successfully analyzed using the ActX genetic test and met ActX quality criteria.
A score of A- indicates that your result was obtained using an indirect method or by successful genotyping or sequencing by a clinical lab other than ActX. This rating would be used under circumstances including 1) the data was obtained using an indirect method, such as imputation for HLA genotypes or 2) the data was imported from another clinical source judged to be a high quality laboratory by ActX, but where ActX did not directly perform the testing and QA.
